The cottage is ideal for exploring Llandovery, with a lane leading down to the river. Llandovery has several great pubs, restaurants and independent shops, and is the site of the ruins of a 13th century castle. The tiny hamlet of Myddfai (3 miles) is nearby and is the home of Prince Charles Welsh residence. Myddfai also has a fascinating visitor centre and hosts a monthly farmers market. A little further on is the Red Kite Feeding Station near Llanddeusant (6 miles). Also nearby are the popular town of Llandeilo (12.5 miles), Dinefwr Castle (14 miles) and Usk Reservoir (12.5 miles). The western tip of the Brecon Beacons is within a mile, with plenty of opportunities for walking, biking and climbing. This spacious and inviting townhouse features a cosy lounge which makes a lovely space in which to relax at the end of a great day out. You can snuggle up on the sofas in front of the wood burner effect gas fire and catch up with a good book or watch a movie on the Smart TV. The light and stylish kitchen is ideal for preparing all your favourite meals and is equipped with an electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen also has a useful breakfast bar. A stable door leads from the kitchen into the charming dining room which is a wonderful space for a family meal. Two bright and cosy bedrooms can be found on the first floor, each with exposed beams and sloping ceilings. The first bedroom is named Cwtch (Welsh for cuddle) and has a king size bed which can be made up as a pair of small single beds on request. The second bedroom, Cariad (Welsh for love), features a double bed. Each bedroom also has a stylish en suite shower room complete with shower and WC. Stepping outside, the terrace is notable for the silver birch tree which gives the cottage its name, as well as some beautiful, flower filled tubs and plenty of garden furniture so you can sit back and enjoy a BBQ or a glass of wine in the evening. The garden is surrounded by a wall with a high gate, so it s secure for dogs to run around in. The drive provides ample parking for two cars, and there s also secure storage for bikes in the shed.
