The area offers a variety of local attractions to include Cromhall Quarry (0.3 miles) where you can book a wild swimming session, Berkeley Castle (6 miles), Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (12 miles), Painswick Rococo Garden (22 miles) and the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal (16 miles). The popular town of Cheltenham (28 miles), home of racing s Gold Cup and the famous Literature Festival, is well worth visiting. There are many other local attractions including the Forest of Dean (33 miles), Chepstow s medieval castle (18 miles), Westonbirt Arboretum (15 miles), Highgrove House and Gardens (15 miles) and the stunning Roman town of Bath (23 miles). Benefitting from a remote location with gardens overlooking the surrounding countryside, this cottage is environmentally friendly using electricity from the solar panels and heating from the heat source pump. So, step inside the entrance hall where you can take a seat to remove your muddy boots, and use the WC in the utility room, which also houses a washer/dryer and a microwave. From here you can access the spacious kitchen/diner, the kitchen being well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, and the dining area comprising a table and chairs for four. The lounge is accessed from the kitchen, a generously sized space where you can relax with friends, with a wood burning stove for chilly evenings, and a smart TV if you chose to watch a good film. Part of the open plan lounge is an extended, vaulted sunroom which is a serene space for catching up with a good book. When the day is done climb the stairs where you will find two beautifully finished rooms. A king size with en suite shower and WC and another king size with a freestanding bath, shower and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed landscaped garden with a pergola offering some shade to the patio area. There is a table and chairs and also a private hot tub (available from 3rd December 2021). There is storage for bikes and off road parking for two cars.
