Take a moment to soak up the valley and landscaped gardens before arriving at your front door, wooden and traditional in style with an inviting hallway that will lead you up the stairs to your cosy retreat. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with solid wooden floors exposed beams and white washed walls is the perfect backdrop for the soft furnishings that are rich in colour and texture, shut out the world and sink into the sofas with a good book or your favourite movie. The hand crafted dark wood kitchen sits sympathetically to the side of the room which is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. When it s time for bed take a few steps down into the king size four poster tree bed fit for a king and queen, finished with pure linen bed linen and colourful throws the en suite bathroom with a large wooden panelled bath that you can just sink into, and WC. Step outside to enjoy the shared grounds and after a day s exploring sink into the private hot tub in glass fronted room with valley views and reindeer to entertain, watch the sunset from your private balcony and enjoy the paddock views, and for summer days the outdoor pool (available between 30th April and 30th September, and solar heated during July and August), English country gardens and acres of woodlands of which you are free to explore. There is parking for one car. As well as being a wonderful holiday destination, the owner operates a private animal rescue sanctuary, which is not open for viewing, however guests will not be disappointed, as a fascinating array of exotic and farm animals wander the fields with viewing also enjoyed from the communal areas. The income from the holiday cottages is invested into feed, medicines, vet support, enclosures and enrichment.
