Nestled in the hills on the outskirts of Orcop in Herefordshire, is this truly unique holiday home, The DugOut. Enjoying a superb and rural location, within easy reach of the Wye Valley AONB, boasting exceptional views over three counties, and a fantastic interior, made famous on Grand Designs, with quirky inner workings, handmade furnishings and exposed wood throughout, The DugOut is a wonderful choice for a couple seeking a relaxing escape away from it all. Be welcomed into your new home from home, where you will find a light and airy open-plan living space, complete with well-equipped kitchen, a dining area for two for savouring meals over a glass of wine, and an inviting sitting area with plush seating, a Smart TV and a woodburning stove; the owners also kindly provide a welcome pack consisting of homemade cake and bread, apple juice, milk, butter, a selection of teas and coffee, condiments, olive oil and marmalade to kickstart your holiday. Continue through to find a beautiful bathroom with freestanding bath encased with bookshelves, so you can enjoy a soak with your favourite book, and a separate shower room for quick freshen ups. When sleep calls, a sumptuous super-king-size bed awaits in a circular room, complete with blackout curtains, so you can catch-up on some well-deserved rest. On-site you will find an honesty shop, where you can pick up fresh eggs, freezer meals, tins, rice, pasta, pesto, homemade jams and chutneys, bread, and crockery, or meet the resident goats, hens and ducks on the land. You can also help yourself to seasonal fruit and vegetables, logs, firelighters, charcoal, and kindling. Nearby, you will find the welcoming Fountain Inn, serving local ales and authentic Thai food or head to the Kilpeck Inn for a hearty meal and cold beverage with your loved ones. From your doorstep, there is also a local pottery and crafts for sale so you can curate something to commemorate your fantastic getaway.
