Set in a fantastic area of the National Park that is renowned for a range of activities including walking, hiking, stalking, fishing and mountain biking there are plenty of activities available for all of the family to enjoy. The estate itself is the home of plentiful wildlife, such as deer, pine martens and red squirrels. For keen whisky enthusiasts, the property is situated close to the Speyside Whisky Trail, and for those looking for something faster paced then the outdoor activity centre near Grantown on Spey offers thrill seekers the chance to enjoy the likes of white water rafting, canoeing and abseiling, plus much more. The property entrance leads into a cloakroom/porch, which is great for leaving your muddy boots after a day of exploring. The lounge is traditionally furnished and contains a Smart TV with a cosy wood burner, allowing guests to settle around the fire as you wind down in the evenings. The kitchen/dining room at the opposite side of the cottage contains another wood burner as well as a solid wood table with seating for up to four guests. The kitchen itself is well equipped for cooking up a storm and contains an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, coffee machine and washer/dryer. The bathroom with bath and separate shower is of ample size and the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Upstairs, you will find both of the bedrooms one double, and one twin room which has views of the estate surrounding the cottage. Please note that the ceiling height throughout the cottage is lower than modern building standards the first floor ceiling is under 2 metres high, and the ground floor is exactly 2 metres on the ground floor due to the age of this traditionally built cottage. Outside, the garden is open and mainly grassed, with the exception of the gravel driveway that has more than enough space for two cars. There are rolling views of the hills and beyond, making it a peaceful spot to enjoy a dip in the wood burning hot tub in the peace and quiet. For that special occasion Fae Bothy can also be hired at an additional cost. The bothy is located in the heart of the Estate and is beautifully renovated to include a fully fitted kitchen, charcoal grill, large dining table, sofas, roaring wood burner and WC. Private dining can also be arranged.
