On the edge of the Brecks, this pretty village is an ideal base from which to explore both Norfolk and Suffolk. Charming villages and towns, with quiet country lanes and cycle tracks to navigate will appeal to walkers. While nearby Thetford Forest is a mecca for cyclists with miles of tracks and routes to explore, as well as a treetop walk for the more daring. Day trips to the coastline will find traditional seaside fun while sightseers may wish to visit some of the English Heritage and National Trust properties. Banham Zoo has to offer a range of family activities or alternatively relax in the lodge with river and fishing lake just a short walk away. Arriving at the lodge guests will make their way into the lovely kitchen area which opens into the open plan lounge/diner. In the kitchen guests will find everything they require for holiday dining, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and a handy dishwasher to help clean away after. The utility room located just off the kitchen provides a washing machine and handy coat and shoe storage area. Moving through to the lounge, comfortable seating is perfect to sit back and relax after a day exploring the local area. A wood burner turns even the chilliest evening into a warm and cosy one while the TV/DVD enables any must see programmes to be watched during any downtime. Large floor to ceiling windows allow plenty of light to flood the room and the dining table is the perfect spot to celebrate any occasion. There are two nicely furnished bedrooms, one accommodating a double bed and the other a single. Finishing the internal space and enabling guests to refresh and re invigorate is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. The enclosed garden is ideal for both children and pets to play safely, and the garden furniture with soft cushions enables both a spot for al fresco dining and a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine in the evening. Take a pleasant walk around the many trails which run around the farm and nearby fishing lake. The lake itself has been stocked up with a variety of fish including, roach, tench, carp up to 30lbs. There is no closed fishing season however, the owner has the right to close when carp is spawning and there is no charge for fishing. You could also walk down the River Thet where a thatched gazebo has been located to provide a romantic spot to watch ducks glide by and kingfishers to zip past.
