When it’s time to retire, climb up the open tread stairs to one of the two bedrooms; a double with a TV and a river view across to Kings Lynn, and a bright single room which is suitable for children or adults. The lovely village of West Lynn has a shop and a highly recommended butchers for any self-catering needs. Alternatively, head across River Great Ouse to the traditional winding streets of King's Lynn where you can find a wide range of pubs, bars and eateries making for a great evening out. Why not leave the car at home and explore King's Lynn by taking the ferry, where you can find plenty of independent or high street shops, as well as character merchant houses, museums, and the 16th century Custom House, which is a Grade I listed building. Nearby the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a haven for walkers and wildlife lovers, The Royal Sandringham Estate has something for everyone, great dog walks, fantastic childrens play area and the queens church is well worth a visit. For a coastal day out, enjoy the seaside resort of Hunstanton with its sandy beach, Sea Life aquarium, boat hire services to see the local seals and two shoreside golf courses. Further afield there is plenty of fun for the children with a Go Ape treetop adventure in Brandon or the lovely Church Farm in Stow Bardolph.
