With spectacular views from spacious terraces and Art Deco-inspired interiors, this colorful, characterful property offers a fantastic entertaining space for a group of eight to enjoy a holiday to remember in the pretty town of Cheddar.
Cut into the rocks with a striking reservoir view, the property welcomes you in with a sweeping staircase leading to the striking open-plan living space, with plenty of light pouring in from the floor-to-ceiling windows that allow guests to enjoy the beautiful views. Plush sofas, colorful walls, soft furnishings, and a feature fireplace make this a great space to entertain, with French doors that you can throw open to the terrace outside. Mealtimes can be enjoyed around a modern ten-seater dining table or moved to the gleaming modern kitchen where a further ten-seater table awaits, offering guests plenty of options and spaces to come together.
The kitchen itself is decked out with a number of modern Neff appliances, including two dishwashers, a large American-style fridge freezer with ice and cold-water dispenser, and a modern central island with more seating, a great space to grab a coffee and enjoy a morning pastry or two.
Kids will love the games room with Wall Pong and a pool table, an excellent space to spend a rainy day. If the sun shines, there is a choice of two outdoor terrace spaces to really step out in style and make the most of the lovely views across the valley.
The sleeping accommodation is spread over four colorful bedrooms with Smart TVs and linens included. The master suite has an excellent en-suite with a bath and shower, plus an opulent dressing room area. Meanwhile, a further two super-king rooms with en-suites benefit from access to a private terrace, a great place to take your morning cup of tea and breathe in the fresh morning air. An additional twin bedroom is great for singles and can also be made into a super-king upon request.
After an excellent night's sleep, why not slip out to the main terrace and enjoy a morning dip in the hot tub? A whole day can be happily spent out in this lovely space, with views for miles, chairs to recline in, kid's games, and a great BBQ and outdoor dining space.
With the stunning Cheddar Gorge moments away, the pretty town of Glastonbury, and the striking Cathedral City of Wells all within driving distance, there are plenty of spots to get out and explore if you can tempt yourself away from the characterful luxury of Honeysuckle Hideout.
Set in the natural beauty of the Cheddar Valley, this lovely holiday home is well-placed to get out and explore the fantastic local area. The most iconic of which is the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cheddar Gorge and Caves. With awe-inspiring cliffs and subterranean wonders in the caves below, it's an undisputed must-see when in the area. Not only does it hold fantastic exhibits on the ancestral history of the caves, but it also offers an opportunity to get active and adventurous through rock climbing tours and excursions.
For a gentler day of sight-seeing, why not head to Wells Cathedral City, just over twenty minutes' drive away? The stunning Anglican Cathedral dates as far back as 1239 and has one of the oldest working clock mechanisms in Britain within its beautiful structure. For more historic inspiration, make sure you take a trip to Vicar's Close, believed to be the oldest residential street with original buildings survived to this day, dating back to the 14th Century.
The famous music festival town of Glastonbury is well worth a visit, any time of the year, with a rich history steeped in ancient myth. Believed to be King Arthur's burial place, Glastonbury Abbey's ruins are a fascinating display of 7th Century architecture, with museums and Iron Age exhibits found across the town celebrating its rich culture and history.
Just over an hour away is the lovely city of Bath, once a Roman spa retreat. Live it up like a Roman in the mineral-rich rooftop pool at Thermae Bath Spa, a fantastic spot to unwind in the heated water and take in the panoramic views. Then pay a visit to the historic Roman Baths, well-preserved thermae dating back to the Fifth Century AD. Although visitors cannot access the water, you can marvel at the Roman Temples, Sacred Spring, and survey historic artifacts at the museum.
Endless cultural opportunities await you, with The Jane Austen Centre a must for literary fans, with costumes on display and characters bringing to life the impact of the city of Bath on the famous author's work. If you visit in September, you may get a chance to experience the Jane Austen festival, including a Regency Costumed Promenade where hundreds of people take to the street in full Regency costume.
