Summary:
Sitting within the grounds of the luxurious Cameron House, South Lodge is unique, benefitting from a huge range of activities within walking distance. The house has a large open-plan lounge/kitchen with an island. Log burning fire, hot tub, fire pit, play park, and a cellar with a bar in it. The house has four bedrooms dressed in hotel-quality linen, robes, and towels and they all have the flexibility to be set up as twin or double rooms. Ideal for golf players.Private parking.
The Space:
The lodge was built in 1882 at the south gate of Cameron House when it was a private residence. The original South Lodge has been lovingly restored and extended to accommodate all modern conveniences and comfort whilst making the most of the beautiful original features.
Wind down after a busy day up in the hills or on the loch in the open plan living area and dining kitchen. With our exposed original stone walls, log burning fire and sumptuous sofas you can recharge and relax or share some wine with the designated cook around the huge kitchen island. The living area is stocked with board games, full Sky TV & Sonos sound system.
For those looking for a more lively stay, you can enjoy a true pub experience without even leaving the doorstep in our very own basement bar equipped with a pool table, full Sky TV, and bar which can be stocked with a draught keg on request.
All four bedrooms are dressed in hotel quality linen, robes, towels and have the flexibility to be set up as twin or double rooms. Two pull-out single beds are available in two bedrooms on request. Wifi reaches all rooms along with free-view Smart TV’s in each.
Step out into the beautiful garden and let the kids explore our massive treehouse play area with swings, slide and climbing wall. The grown-ups can keep an eye on them from the luxury hot tub or sunken fire pit. The large pergola provides cover from rain, snow or sun to ensure year-round use of the outdoors.
Guest Access:
We have three private parking spaces at the back of the house.
The loch is only a few minutes walk away! Loch Lomond Shore, The Boat House and The Cameron House Hotel are all within walking distance. Our house manual which we send to all of our guests contains our recommendations on where to eat and activities to try. The centre of Balloch is also within walking distance. Here you will find the largest supermarket in the vicinity, bars, a post office and much more.

Whether you’re looking for somewhere to explore Loch Lomond and the National Park or to have an unforgettable group get together South Lodge is perfectly located and has everything that you will need to make the experience legendary.
Loch Lomond Shores is an eight-minute walk away. Here you will find shops, cafes and the Sealife Aquarium.
The Boat House, which is owned by Cameron House, overlooks the loch and the marina. It is a thirteen-minute walk away. Cameron House Hotel is a further 10-minute walk.
