Two local pubs also offer food and drink in relaxing surroundings. Staunton Harold Reservoir is close by and the bustling Georgian market town of Melbourne just 2.6 miles away. Here you can find an old mill pool relating to the town’s name meaning of ‘Mill Stream’, the historic and picturesque Melbourne Hall and Gardens, plus an array of eateries to indulge in. Going further afield are the various country parks within Charnwood Forest and the delights of the Peak District National Park.
