This former sailmakers cottage is situated in a quiet alleyway high above the estuary of the River Torridge in this picturesque fishing village, surrounded by colour washed fishermans cottages off narrow cobbled lanes and courtyards. Many centuries old, reflecting an ancient seafaring tradition and kept alive today by fishermen and local boat building. A short walk to the village centre shops, pubs, restaurants and the quayside offering delightful views across the estuary to Instow. Bideford, the wide sandy beaches, golf course and riding stables at Westward Ho! and Northam Leisure Pool are within five minutes drive.
This historic character cottage, which can only be approached on foot down a narrow lane, is comfortably furnished, with night storage heating throughout. Three bedrooms - double with en-suite/wc and washbasin, twin, and single bedded. Ground floor bathroom/wc with elec shower and dimplex wall heater. Comfortable living room with chintz suite and colour co-ordinated furnishings, open fireplace with woodburning stove, TV, DVD and interesting picture collection. Separate dining area with circular oak table, two steps up to kitchen with elec cooker, microwave and spin dryer. Glazed door to rear sun trap courtyard with 13 steps and handrail leading to pretty walled garden with level lawn, garden seat and further steps leading to secluded lawned garden with garden furniture supplied (steep steps may not suit young children or the less mobile). Off road private parking for one car, outside owner's garage, 60 yards (luggage trolley provided).
