Situated opposite Margam Abbey at the end of a quiet no through road, the cottage benefits from free access to Margam Country Park which is accessed through the cottages private locked gate, situated within the walled garden and is available to guests even when the park is closed to the public. This beautiful park includes a historic Victorian Castle, 17th century orangery, formal gardens, rare breeds farm trail, children s fairy tale village, fishing lakes, adventure playgrounds, walking and bike trails and much more. The local area offers spectacular waterfalls, countryside, the Aberavon seafront and world class mountain biking at Afan Forest Park. The beautiful South Wales countryside is on the doorstep with the traditional seaside resort and surfing beaches of Porthcawl 6 miles away. The stunning Gower Peninsula and the bright lights of the Welsh capital, Cardiff are both a 30 minute drive. (Please check admittance for the various attractions). As you enter this unique property you will feel right at home, leading off the main entrance to your right, you will find the spacious well equipped kitchen. With an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and a Lavazza A Modo Mio Desea Coffee Machine (a sample of coffee capsules provided) with a small dining area. As you head back towards the entrance hallway, open the door to your left, which will lead you in into the cosy lounge area with warming wood burner, the perfect spot to curl up and relax after a busy day exploring. Leading off the lounge area is the sun room which is currently used as the dining room, a great social space with patio doors opening up onto the external walled patio area. Just off the lounge you will find the downstairs shower room and WC and a large utility/store room, which again has direct access outside. As you head upstairs you will reach the gallery landing, the bathroom with shower over the bath and WC is on your right, the single bedroom is to the left off the landing, followed by the further twin and king size bedroom, all beautifully decorated and have views either towards the front of the property or walled patio area. Heading outside you will enjoy complete relaxation in your own private patio area and walled garden with seating and BBQ, this area is a spot to relax and enjoy the sunset.
