Llangadfan 2.1 miles. Located near the traditional village of Llangadfan in Powys, in the popular area of Snowdonia and Mid Wales sits this two-storey riverside cottage, Min Y Nant. With access to the stream from the wildflower meadow at the front of the property and an enclosed garden and patio area with a wood-fired hot tub, there’s plenty of room to welcome the whole family at this rural escape, including one well behaved dog. Stepping through the front door into the homely living area with a woodburning stove, you’ll find the perfect place to unwind and warm up after a busy day exploring the great outdoors. Leading through to the country style kitchen you’ll find an electric oven and fully equipped kitchen for you to rustle up your favourite meal before sitting down together at the dining room table with seating for six. After dinner could be the ideal time to try out the wood-fired hot tub in the enclosed back yard, where there is also a bench and table for dining alfresco before heading up to bed. Three bedrooms, including a double, a small double and a twin, that provide all you need for some rest ahead of another busy day. Finishing off the interior, the shower room with walk-in shower, bathroom with rolled topped bath and handheld shower will help you to feel refreshed in no time. If you decide to venture out of your peaceful retreat, you’ll find plenty to do with Llangadfan only 2.1 miles away, which boasts Glyndwr's Way footpaths for those who enjoy a ramble and a vintage tearoom to provide that much needed break before heading off for some mountain biking in Dyfnant Forest or walk around Lake Vyrnwy, famous for its stunning scenery, bird watching, cycling trails and mountains. Why not take in some history too at medieval Powis Castle and gardens or one of the many museums and attractions for the whole family including the Centre for Alternative Technology situated at Machynlleth. Whether you choose to relax in the peaceful surroundings or get out and explore on foot or on bike, Min Y Nant provides the perfect retreat for the whole family.
