This lovely home enjoys a peaceful location within the heart of Clyro, a small settlement situated on the Welsh border, and just 1 mile from the popular town of Hay on Wye, where you will find cafes, restaurants, and the world famous bookshops. Enjoy rambles along the banks of the River Wye and seek out The Warren, a pretty spot for wild swimming. Both the Wye Valley and Offa s Dyke trails run through Hay on Wye. Discover the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park by foot, taking on nearby Hay Bluff and Twmpa. Explore the nearby rugged landscape of the Begwns (National Trust open access land) where you can enjoy spectacular views across to the Beacons and Wye valley or the quiet Radnorshire hills a little further north. This pretty cottage has a stepped pathway leading to the back of the cottage. Step inside to the garden room, a place where you can relax with a good book or enjoy a simple supper. From here you can access the kitchen/diner, a spacious room finished with a well equipped kitchen offering an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a dining area with a table and chairs for five. The lounge is situated at the front of the cottage with low ceilings, a wood burner (first basket of logs provided) and a TV, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Off this room is a small snug room with a cosy armchair and a well stocked bookcase and desk. A door in the lounge offers access to the cottage stairs which open onto a spacious landing, from which there are three spacious bedrooms where guests can enjoy a peaceful night s rest. A twin room with traditional twin beds that can be made into a double on request when booking. A spacious double enjoying views across the rear garden, and there is also a single room. Completing the accommodation is a bathroom with a separate shower, bath and WC. To the rear of the cottage is a large rambling wildlife garden alongside Clyro brook, where you can follow the pathways through the meadow grass and find many quiet spots to sit and enjoy some tranquillity. There is a patio area with a table and chairs, the original ty bach overlooking a lovely waterfall. To enjoy the areas dark skies, you can light the fire pit and take a seat on one of the woodland benches. There is off road parking for two cars and storage for bikes.
