Canoe hire is also available from Hay on Wye and Glasbury, a 20 mile drive west. A trip to the vibrant market town of Hay on Wye is a must where you can pick up local produce from a farmer s market, browse the independent shops or relax and enjoy a director's choice movie at Booths Cinema. The cottage enjoys an elevated position within sympathetically landscaped grounds and lovely views across the adjoining fields of Herefordshire countryside. This lovely cottage and barn conversion have been joined with a contemporary extension offering stunning rooms for your enjoyment. The ground floor has been cleverly designed and offers open plan living that is perfect for families and friends wanting to spend time together. The living room area boasts cosy seating with an individually designed wood burning stove here you can relax in front of the TV beneath the beams in the vaulted ceiling. For dining, a table and chairs gives you space that is perfect for a supper of locally sourced produce. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. A utility room offers space for muddy boots and coats along with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The ground floor has two bedrooms both super king size zip and links (that can be made into twin beds on request when booking). The rooms are spacious and enjoy garden views, one feels modern and the other full of original oak beams. There is a Jack and Jill wet room with separate bath and WC. On the first floor, a large bedroom with vaulted ceiling has a super king size bed with an en suite shower and WC. The cottage is surrounded by gardens and there is a private hot tub set to the side where you can enjoy catching up with everyone under the stars. A patio area is set up with table and chairs for dining with a large parasol and a BBQ. There is parking for several cars along with a secure rack for bikes.
